Description

The Development Manager is responsible for managing all business aspects and data/record keeping for all Development Committees and approximately 15 annual Special Events. The Development Manager participates in the formulation of fund-raising strategy for League-wide projects and provides assistance and support in the implementation of these strategies. She/he conducts ongoing research in business, philanthropy and related fields to identify potential grant opportunities and individual donors. She/he manages the grant writing process and develops and maintains corporate relationships and partnerships in order to support the fundraising efforts of the NYJL. The Development Manager trains and manages the Special Event Associate in all aspects of event record keeping. Proven experience in applying the knowledge, methods, and best practices in specail event management, grant writing, and fund raising, as well as database managment, is a must. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends required.
