The Lupus Foundation of America is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our team of dynamic professionals! The candidate will be an integral member of the Lupus Foundation of America's fundraising team. Working closely with the Vice President, Development & Fundraising, and supporting all functions of fund development, this position will assist with the planning, execution and generation of revenue by supporting day-to-day department administration and organization, tracking gifts, financial reporting and supporting the Foundation's signature fundraising events, individual giving, corporate giving, foundation giving, research and other development activities.
A Bachelor's degree is required. Must have a proven ability to work well in a fast paced and team-based environment. Self-starter and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities and projects and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt interpersonal and communication style to interact effectively with a wide variety of people. Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills with high-level attention to detail. High functioning with computer software and applications with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), donor tracking database programs, and fundraising software. Previous non-profit organization experience preferred. Able to work effectively with colleagues throughout the organization as well as external customers and vendors. Able to make, follow through and document accountability for short and long term plans. Available for weekend and evening work with occasional travel. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Available for occasional weekend and evening work. Ability to lift 35+ pounds.
