POSITION DESCRIPTION:

To advance the mission and vision of SAMBICA through excellence in recruiting and leading of team members to implement existing and future youth programs which reach and rise up new generations for Jesus Christ.

The Big Three:

  • Recruit quality summer leadership and team members to implement programs
  • Develop new youth programs and strategies to fulfill SAMBICA's mission and vision
  • Lead and mentor summer leadership and team members to program success

Other responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an annual budget for youth programs
  • Model personal integrity and Christian character
  • Work with other SAMBICA directors in all areas of ministry
  • Fulfill other responsibilities as required by the Executive Director

PROSPECT PROFILE:

  • Absolute crazy love for Jesus!
  • A love for children (Mark 10:14-15)
  • Increasing levels of programming experience in a church, camp, school or para-church ministry (3 years of experience preferred)
  • Excellent administration, leadership (training up young men & women), and multi-tasking
  • Excellent personnel recruiting and selection track record is a must
  • Embraces the SAMBICA vision statement
  • Excels in managing/supervising/and inspiring college age team members
  • Experienced in a variety of camp ministry styles and formats
  • Exhibits strong public speaking, public relations, and customer service skills
  • Adept at innovative program development as we look toward the future
  • A serving mentality, skilled in building and maintaining positive relationships and creating a strong team culture
  • Sensitive to interdenominational needs and issues
  • Self motivated and directed
  • Adhere to a Standard of Excellence
  • Implement and maintain strategic plans for camping ministry objectives
  • Strong proficiency with PC computers and Microsoft Office applications

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION:

Reports to: Executive Director
Supervises: Program Manager, summer team, interns, and volunteers
Education: Bachelor's; graduate studies or extended experience desirable
Start Date: March 1, 2017

This is a full-time, salaried exempt position that includes paid time off as well as medical and retirement benefits. Salary is DOE.
