SUMMARY:

Under the Director of Finance and Management, the Grants Administration Associate is responsible for grant research, grant program design and implementation, compliance, and reporting.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Grants Administration (70%):

  • Performs research on available grants, awards, etc.
  • Assists in the implementation of the grants, ensures compliance requirements are met, and establishes outcome reporting measures and documentation

Accounting (20%):

  • Reconcile all invoices and outgoing payments
  • Work with the accountant to manage employee expense reports
  • Manage FLA collections

Other Duties (10%):

  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

  • None

KEY SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely in a written and verbal capacity
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • The ability to present information to a diverse audience

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
  • 2-3 years' experience in grants administration
  • A strong understanding of grants management

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work in an office environment; heavy computer usage; requires bending, reaching and lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Requires minimal travel (less than 5%)
