Senior Adult Experience Specialist

Summary of position:

The Senior Adult Experience Specialist (SAES) works as an integral member of the Adult Experience Team, building strategy to identify, engage and support adults to join and volunteer in the Girl Scout organization.

She/he partners with councils to target the best potential adult markets and build effective approaches and processes that maximize the number of adults that the organization engages, in meaningful ways.

The SAES will work as part of organizational wide Project Teams, representing the interests of our adult customers. She/he works closely with our Girl Scout Research Institute and Marketing units, to help identify the ideal customer type and how to best reach those adults. She/he works in close partnership with the Girl Experience team, to best support adults who ultimately fulfill our mission through serving girls. She/he also participates as a key member on the K-5 Initiative team, providing subject matter expertise in product build and council cohort support.


  • 5-10 years' experience in volunteerism and/or working for a membership or youth service organization.
  • Proven experience working in an adult customer marketing field, understanding and addressing needs specific to various adult market segments.
  • Prior experience in an "affiliate" environment accountable for implementing national, adult recruitment campaigns.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of a Customer Relationship Management tool (i.e. Salesforce).
  • Demonstrated project management skills developing strategic plans and driving them through to execution, incorporating the use of social media.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing, building and maintaining partnerships and relationships in a consulting role.
  • Demonstrated written/verbal communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Experience in using technology effectively in large membership organizations, with a solid understanding of utilizing it to engage "affiliate" resources.
  • Travel up to 30% including day trips, overnight and weekend trips, as needed.
  • Valid driver's license to drive to various geographic locations.
  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, business administration or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience. Master's degree desirable.
