Americorps positions with Neighborcare Health are available for the upcoming year! We are seeking social justice minded applicants interested in community outreach, elder care, health, youth, and homelessness. Members will work with diverse communities at various clinics across the Seattle area.
Member Duties : AmeriCorps members placed at co-located medical/dental clinics will focus on outreach to families with children to link them with dental care at their clinic. Outreach will include families already using Neighborcare medical services, as well as families in the community.
AmeriCorps members placed in our school-based health centers will link students and their families with medical, mental health and dental services we provide, and will lead student advisory groups to promote healthy lifestyles.
AmeriCorps members placed at Ballard Homeless Clinic and 45th St. Homeless Youth Clinic will provide outreach to homeless adults and youth in the area, linking them to clinical care and other services for which they are eligible.
AmeriCorps members may be placed at Pike Market, Rainier Park, Greenwood or Lake City Medical clinics to provide outreach to the surrounding community to link low-income families with services at these clinics.
