The Computer Services Department at the International Food Policy Research Institute seeks a full-time Information Technology Support professional for a one-year, fixed term, exempt, renewable appointment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to morph their classroom training into real world experience in a dynamic, team oriented IT environment. Must be a team player, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoy taking on new challenges. This position is based at IFPRI headquarters in Washington DC.
Essential Duties:
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Hardware and software setup and troubleshooting
- Help Desk support
- Hardware inventory management
- PBX administration
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree in IT-related field
- Technical familiarity with Windows environment
- Technical familiarity with desktop and portable computer setup and troubleshooting
- Excellent English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Active Directory administration
- Familiarity with PBX administration
- Customer support experience
