Manhattan Workforce1 Healthcare Sector Career Center

The Workforce1 Career Center (WF1CC) system operates in partnership with the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) and the New York State Department of Labor (DOL) to provide recruitment, job training and business services through a variety of programs and locations throughout the five boroughs. The Healthcare Sector Center provides high quality, no-cost services tailored to seamlessly link credentialed talent with employers in the healthcare industry.

FEGS Health & Human Services seeks an experienced Community Outreach Specialist who will help identify, engage and monitor the performance of Community Based Organizations in support of the Healthcare Career Center's business development and employment programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops liaisons and partnerships with targeted client populations and associated community and educational organizations
  • Develops and catalogues an in -depth knowledge of partner CBOs
  • Manages the SBS CBO referral system and insures accurate, timely and comprehensive collection and dissemination of CBO participation and performance data
  • Organizes, manages and tracks results of specialized recruiting events for targeted CBOs, in collaboration with Center recruitment staff.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and 3-5 year's related experience in human services. Prior experience in community based organizations, recruiting or vocational/employment counseling preferred along with experience in facilitating workshops and presentations. Bachelor's degree preferred.
