Program Manager / ProInspire Fellow

Posted on: December 21, 2012

Posted by: ProInspire

Description

At ProInspire, we are addressing the nonprofit leadership gap by providing leading nonprofits with the talent they need to change the world. Our focus is on expanding the social sector's talent pipeline, developing professionals, and increasing diversity in the sector. We are passionate about accelerating social impact and being catalysts of outstanding performance. We have been operating in the Washington DC region since 2009 and launched in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2012. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization funded through the generous support of individuals, foundations, and our nonprofit partners.

We are looking for a ProInspire Fellow to be part of our team as Program Manager. This is a new role – we will be a placement organization for our very own program! The Fellow will start in February 2013 and will be part of the 2013 Spring Fellows class. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work with leading nonprofits addressing critical social issues, find great talent to help organizations achieve their missions, and develop social sector leaders. You will be on the ground of a growing organization that is changing how the sector views talent and how individuals view their careers.

About the ProInspire Fellowship:

Our flagship program, the ProInspire Fellowship, recruits top business professionals with 2-5 years of business experience who want to use their skills for social impact and to invest in a growing community of ProInspire fellows. Fellows spend one year working in an analytical, operations, marketing or strategy role at a leading nonprofit organization. After the Fellowship, Fellows engage with our community of alumni to continue investing in the sector.

This highly competitive program offers targeted positions with leading nonprofits, trainings, a cohort of peers, a coach, and a network to support career growth. Previous ProInspire Fellows come from across the U.S. with experience at Accenture, Bain, Credit Suisse, Deloitte, General Mills, Google, Microsoft, Parthenon Capital, and other leading companies.

Fellows participate in orientation, a full-day workshop series, coaching, networking, and leadership development projects. Fellows also receive career/graduate school support. After the program, Fellows typically stay at their organization, find other career opportunities, or attend graduate school. Annual compensation of $44,000 and health benefits are provided.

About the ProInspire Program Manager Role:
The Program Manager will be an integral part of our 3-person team and work directly with our Founder and Bay Area Executive Director. He or she will have primary responsibility for managing recruitment and selection of Fellows in our Fellowship program. In addition, the Program Manager will help launch a pilot program we are developing to support first-time managers in the nonprofit sector. Since we are a small team, the Program Manager will wear many hats and have the opportunity to be involved in special projects throughout the year.
