Pencils of Promise is seeking an organized, ambitious, and dedicated individual to join their Business and Finance Team as the Finance Coordinator. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the organization's accounting and office management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounts payable, accounts receivable and process monthly journal entries;
  • Assist the CFO in monthly bank reconciliations for all domestic and international accounts;
  • Prepare, maintain and analyze all relevant financial statements;
  • Assist the CFO with annual audit preparation;
  • Process all offline and online donations and prepare weekly deposits and other banking;
  • Oversee the state registration and renewal process to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Manage Salesforce database and work hand-in-hand with the Development department to ensure the proper upkeep of all records and reports;
  • Generate and monitor ongoing sales reports and pipelines in Salesforce;
  • Maintain all filing and record maintenance; and
  • Provide general office supply management and support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with 1-2 years of experience in non-profit business or finance;
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks;
  • Proficiency in Salesforce;
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail and communication skills;
  • Strong sense of prioritization and project management skills; and
  • Passion for international development and education.
