Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) seeks a Director for its Elected Leadership team.
LEE currently has several and, over time, will have more members who seek to have impact for children and their communities through elected leadership. Many elements of their campaigns require similar supports (e.g., website, social media) and a set of best/useful practices exist. This role will identify the needs of LEE members, develop a "platform" strategy to meet many of those needs, and build both the platform as well as the delivery mechanism such that LEE members can easily access and use the tools.
The Director, National Platforms will lead a team to build, implement, and continually improve a scalable platform (by implementing technology and best-in-class knowledge sharing practices) for use by LEE member candidates (e.g., a set of. re-usable tools for LEE members pursuing elected leadership).
This role will work closely with the rest of the Elected Leadership team (specifically a set of regional candidate support desk managers) and other LEE teams (e.g., Technology, Field Engagement, and Leadership Trainings and Initiatives).
The Director must be comfortable developing new strategies that scale (by identifying common elements across a diverse population), be relentless at execution and overcoming challenges, adept at leveraging and integrating different technologies, work collaboratively across multiple teams (and organizations), have strong communication skills, and, importantly, believe in our mission and our values.
This position reports to the Vice President of Elected Leadership.
