SCO IS LOOKING FOR A WELL- QUALIFIED FFT!
Come and join a small team of therapists working to make a difference in the lives of LGBTQ youth and their families through two SCO Programs: the Family Therapy Intervention Pilot (FTIP) Program, a community initiative to increase family support and positive mental health outcomes and decrease homelessness among LGBTQ youth; and the Close to Home (C2H) Program, a juvenile justice initiative dedicated to assisting youth reintegrate with their community and reunify with their families.
The FFT Therapist will provide intensive family therapy and crisis intervention to youth and their families using evidence-based clinical practices in the family home. Field work comprises majority of the therapist's time, but additional administrative requirements and supervision are an equally important component of the position. FFT therapists are clinically trained in FFT and carry a small caseload of approximately five families. This is a challenging, but rewarding position with support provided every step of the way. Only apply if you are not afraid of hard work, if you do not mind working in diverse and sometimes hectic family homes, if you are eager to learn, and if you have a sense of humor and tons of creativity!
