Job Description:

The Marketing Director will be responsible for communicating, coordinating and collaborating with all departments, program offices and global chapters, to create, design and deliver marketing materials in an effort to promote products and programs of AGBU. The Marketing Director must have strong knowledge of various Armenian and non-Armenian media outlets and spearhead the development of the marketing program through presentations and research, and provide reports, such as marketing trends, various media platforms, and pricing.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify marketing and media opportunities and create marketing and communications plans
  • Develop the branding, advertising, events and promotional collateral
  • Implement of marketing campaigns, including positioning, campaign strategies and market insights
  • Prepare and manage timelines and budgets for marketing projects
  • Coordinate content and research with relevant global program officers and central office staff
  • Produce campaign analytics reports as required
  • Attend events and functions as needed
  • Other duties as required

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong creative eye for design with ability to design simple visual marketing content
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of marketing strategies, tactics and industry standards
  • Ability to address multiple audiences while maintaining each brand's voice
  • Must possess strong knowledge of diverse media outlets, press, publications and other resources
  • Ability to take initiative and propose new ideas, yet be open to ideas from others
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy and completeness in all published material
  • Ability to work in teams and small groups with diverse cultures and personalities
  • Highly organized, detailed oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaborate and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during special events; Travel may be required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Advertising
  • At least 5-7+ years of professional marketing/communications experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe Creative Cloud, Acrobat, Photoshop, In-Design
  • Knowledge of the Armenian language preferred
  • Solid knowledge of the Armenian community, including organizations, publications and media
  • United States Citizenship or residency required
