Job Title: Psychiatrist
Forestdale Inc. is seeking psychiatrists to conduct evaluations for children in foster care. Must be certified as a child adolescent psychiatrist. Must be able to focus on understanding mental illness and its effects on children and their families. Evaluations will be conducted with foster parents and children. Psychiatrists are expected to collaborate with Forestdale Staff and review health records / school records prior to determining a complete treatment plan.
Psychiatrist Minimum Requirements
-Requirements for a psychiatric evaluation include psychiatric history, mental status exam, risk assessment, multi-axial diagnosis and a treatment plan.
-Psychiatrists who are available to provide monthly monitoring of medication are a plus.
-All individuals must be licensed to practice in the state of New York.
- Bilingual applicants are a plus. (Mandarin, Spanish, French and /or Punjabi)
