Enroll America is a national non-profit organization seeking an experienced Design Director to help lead the organization's design and front-end development work. The Design Director will play an important role in shaping our "Get Covered America" campaign to help the uninsured understand their health coverage options made available by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), to recruit volunteers for our field operation, and to maximize the number of uninsured Americans that enroll in health coverage. The Design Director reports to the National Digital Director and will work alongside a team of digital specialists, field staff, and data analysts to develop effective digital strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience designing for the web is a must, specifically websites, banner ads, social graphics (true infographics a plus)
- Experience with both branding and direct response/activation oriented campaigns
- Experience designing and developing highly interactive and engaging online experiences
- Ability to work independently and as a team; work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to create ideas and designs for various types of campaigns and for different audiences
- Need to be a strong collaborator willing to work quickly through mockups/wireframes to deliver projects on tight timelines, and be willing to receive and integrate feedback
- Experience working for/with creative agencies and/or Blue State Digital is a plus
- A good sense of humor and a strong commitment to making the world a better place are musts
Front-end Dev Requirements
- Responsive dev/design experience
- Experience with all basic web standards
- Query experience
- Use of a modern framework like Django, Rails, Jekyll, etc.
