The Fundraising & Outcomes Assistant- AmeriCorps VISTA will play a key role in assisting the fundraising and outcomes team to ensure the long term sustainability of Rising Tide Capital. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a small development team. The position involves working closely with the Managing Director of Strategy & Development, Communications and Program staff.
This an excellent opportunity for someone interested in furthering their skills and experience in fundraising by providing support to the development and outcomes teams. Major tasks include:
- Office of Licensed Partnership
- Work with Development, Program & Communications teams to finalize Office of Licensed Partnership offering.
- Assist in the finalization of how RTC's OLP offering will be branded
- Work with individual departments to document the different systems used on a day to day basis
- Develop evaluation system for different "levels" of potential partners: the organization itself, entrepreneurship trainers and the entrepreneurs
- Grant and Information Management
- Work with Development team to expand institutional grant revenue through grants research, writing, and management
- Conduct background research and identify potential funders
- Outcomes
- Work with Outcome Manager to conduct annual survey of clients
- Assist in outcome reporting to various funders & sponsors.
- Event
- Work with Development team in support of Start Something Challenge and Start Something Champions Gala
- Provide support in research and solicitation of potential honorees
Qualifications Required:
- Working towards/completed a Degree in Business Management, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy or MIS
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, data management and organizational skills
- Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to be consistently diplomatic, tactful, and professional, and spirit of service leadership
- Ability to interact effectively with staff, trustees, and external parties
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet short deadlines
- Ability to develop and maintain broad knowledge of Rising Tide Capital's programs, practices, policies, and procedures
- Foundation and/or other non-profit experience very helpful
