Empower guests to achieve self-sufficiency by building their knowledge and confidence through interactive workshops and trainings.
Oversee all aspects of the Self-Advocacy program including guest trainings and workshops; facilitating guest focus groups and activities; maintaining a consumer-only component of the Rosie's Place website and creating materials that enable guests to advocate for themselves and their families; and managing budgetary line items and monitoring their disbursement.
Oversee all aspects of guest trainings and workshops, including creating workshops and soliciting other agencies to provide guest trainings, managing sign-ups with participants, and coordinating space and materials used for workshops.
Collaborate with Communications department to build and maintain a consumer oriented component of Rosie's Place website. Ensure the website reflects the changing needs and services. Create and implement marketing strategies to drive traffic to the site.
Develop budget line items with the Director of Finance and monitor their disbursement.
Prepare annual program goals, logic models and quarterly reports, as well as other reports as required.
Lead efforts with each department of Rosie's Place to adopt ways for guests to take on leadership and/or decision making roles.
Supervise staff, volunteers and interns
Report to the Director of Programs and Planning
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Programs and Planning
College Degree and a minimum of four years experience organizing advocacy or campaign work preferred.
Understanding of issues confronting poor and homeless women
Proven ability to work independently and creatively.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Familiarity with community resources regarding housing, benefit regulations, and services.
Bi-lingual in English/Spanish or English/Haitian Creole a plus.
