The Salvation Army, National Capital Area Command seeks to hire a ServSafe Certified Cook for its Harbor Light Center located in Washington, D.C. The Harbor Light Center is a 24-hour substance abuse treatment facility that offers a variety of rehabilitative services including extended stay options, inpatient and outpatient programs, relapse prevention, and more.
In this role you will prepare and cook food to be served to clients and staff while complying with all sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following established food production procedures; ensure food and meals are prepared on time and in an attractive manner; ensure appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss and waste.
SERVSAFE Certification and valid DRIVER'S LICENSE are REQUIRED. High School diploma, or equivalent and one year of training or experience cooking for large groups, preferably in a health-care related setting, or any combination of experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
