The Veterans Director will oversee all Veteran employment services for America Works. The Director manages services that allow the program to operate efficiently. Director oversees program staff, including a Corporate Representative/Case Manager, Trainer, and Sales/Account Management staff.
The Veterans Director serves as the general and operations manager who plans, directs, or coordinates the operations of the veterans program. Duties include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources.
Primary Responsibilities:
- manages daily liaison activities between all government program partners
- develops proposals to funders and oversees grants and contracts
- markets veterans to employers focusing on unique skills veterans bring to the workplace; creates job leads for businesses seeking to hire vets
- connects with training partners as well as certification/testing centers
- reviews staff-generated job orders to develop further employment opportunities
- collects employment verifications to confirm veterans placed in employment and job retention
Qualifications: Must be a Veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. Mandatory undergraduate degree.
Preferred: Experience directing and managing programs, master's degree in a relevant field.
