Job description: The Jewish High School of Connecticut, an independent college preparatory high school in Woodbridge, CT, seeks a dynamic Director of Admissions to identify and recruit prospective students through outreach and marketing, to guide applicants through our admissions process, and to induct enrollees into the school community. The Director of Admissions will build engaging relationships with families and will serve as a continuing liaison with them after they are enrolled at school. The Director of Admissions will also cultivate ongoing relationships throughout the Jewish communities of Connecticut.
The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of child development, schools, and education. The candidate will demonstrate capabilities in communications, writing, and marketing, including social media, and a drive to communicate with excitement the power of Jewish day school education. We are looking for extremely motivated and assertive individuals who can really sell our school. Candidates should have three or more years of school-based experience, with a proven record of success in engaging participation and building out a volunteer structure. Candidates must be able to establish objectives and work towards their successful achievement. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for education and the mission and vision of our Jewish day school.
