POSITION RESPONSIBILITY: Create and implement a resource development
strategic program that includes strategies for the ongoing cultivation of donors capable
of annual, major and/or deferred gifts; marketing of Quest and its programs; community
outreach; internal and external communications; grants solicitation; corporate
relations; donor information systems; performance analysis and moves management
to cultivate and solicit donors through meetings and events, etc.
SPECIFIC TASKS: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Create and manage Quest's Gift Club.
2. Train and lead Quest staff to support fundraising and marketing efforts
3. Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential corporate & foundation sponsors and individual donors
4. Manage Quest's Volunteer (Ambassador) Program, which includes identifying and securing ambassadors, engaging them in ongoing service opportunities and developing donors out of these relationships.
5. Manage the grants office and when necessary, provide technical assistance in the writing of grant proposals and reports to corporate, foundation, and government funders
6. Oversee functioning of DonorPro and staff responsible for data entry and gift processing
7. Create and execute the Annual Fund - a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
8. Manage the planning and execution of all Quest's development special events, including Wine Quest.
9. Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
10. Work with the VP of Development to increase donor participation and giving in the Tampa region by actively fund raising in the region.
11. Perform any and all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS. Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform duties proficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training (including vocation, Jr. College, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field;
5 years of experience in field; CFRE certification preferred.
Experience/licenses/certifications needed. If experience can be substituted for education, please specify number of years and type:
1. Demonstrated experience using effective interpersonal skills, listening, diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and all levels of staff.
2. Working knowledge of current trends in charitable giving, particularly in the areas of major gifts and planned giving. Working knowledge or willingness and ability to learn the basics of charitable gift planning, i.e., CFRE Certification.
3. Successful experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors.
4. Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to persuasively convey the mission of Quest to diverse groups including donors, corporate executives and others who are important to the organization's prosperity.
5. Ability to work with and communicate with a wide range of people – the public, Quest's leadership, influential donors, prospects, and others.
6. Ability to educate and inform prospective and existing donors about appropriate giving vehicles.
