About the Position

The Environmental Sustainability Careers Associate will play a key role in developing Net Impact's innovative career initiative, designed to connect emerging talent to opportunities to make a difference across sectors. The Environmental Sustainability Careers Associate will be responsible for a key component of the career initiative: developing a comprehensive online experiential learning marketplace that enables students to make a positive environmental impact while gaining applicable skills and experience.

The Environmental Sustainability Careers Associate is an exciting position with significant opportunity to deepen expertise in project and program management, marketing and communications, and business development. This position will be an integral part of the Career team, whose members are entrepreneurial, collaborative, and have a bias for action and results. Reporting to the Career Programs Manager, this individual will work closely with all members of the Net Impact team including senior leadership team members, associates, and managers. The ideal candidate is an effective, results-oriented communicator who is enthusiastic about helping students build their skills so they can land roles where they can advance environmental sustainability-related goals.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain a groundbreaking online experiential learning portal
  • Create and implement a marketing and outreach plan for the portal to ensure there is a robust marketplace of environmentally-focused hosting organizations, universities, and student participants
  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with environmental partners across sectors to source projects and grow the user base for the platform
  • Ensure environmental content on portal remains relevant; develop resources and supporting content as necessary
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental stakeholders using Net Impact's new online portal; proactively anticipate and resolve issues
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and trends as they relate to the portal; make recommendations to strengthen offerings based on these metrics and trends

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree and at least 1-2 years of professional experience
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal); Demonstrated experience with marketing and outreach
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with customers and other external stakeholders; comfort with warm, lukewarm, and cold outreach
  • High standards and exceptional attention to detail, especially in written communication
  • Strong customer service orientation. Track record of consistently going above and beyond to deliver excellence and results
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; take initiative and risks; and approach problems creatively
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, rapidly changing environment
  • Experience with and interest in online platforms and systems preferred
  • Enthusiastic commitment to Net Impact's mission and environmental sustainability
