Renbrook School seeks a full-time Director of the Annual Fund to develop and implement a comprehensive annual giving program. S/he will oversee and execute annual fund strategies and programs that include the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual gifts from trustees, alumni, parents, faculty, and friends, including personal solicitations, direct mail and e-mail, and phonathons. The position reports to the Director of the Alumni & Development Office and works closely with other members of the department as well as volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a master plan and calendar for all phases of the annual giving program, including personal solicitations, phone solicitations, direct mail and online marketing
- Create and execute a 3-year plan for annual giving
- Work with Director of Development to establish goals for the annual fund
- Articulate a case for support of annual giving at Renbrook School to all constituents
- Serve as member of major gift team; identify and cultivate major donors and make personal visits and solicitations.
- Recruit and engage volunteer solicitors for the annual fund
- Work with Alumni Coordinator to recruit alumni class agents, develop and implement reunion giving program
- Work with department staff, Director of Marketing and Communications, and external venders to create marketing strategies and materials for direct mail, phonathon, and e-mail solicitations
- Analyze annual giving results and develop annual fund reports
- Manage annual fund stewardship
- Create and oversee budget for annual fund program
- Assist with organizing and attend Alumni & Development Office events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years annual giving experience
- Strong written, interpersonal, management, and communications skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and to meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate and work as a member of a team
- Strong computer skills and detail-oriented
- Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge a strong plus
- Some evening and weekend hours required
