DAY CAMP DIRECTOR AND DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES
SUMMARY
Manage and develop all Day Camp and children and family services including afterschool program, summer camp, weekend and vacation programs serving children K-7th grade. Lead department by overseeing and training staff members. Oversee all operations of the department. Supervise ASP Coordinator
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as Camp Director and oversee all aspects of camp operation (summer and year round pre-camp building operations)
- Identify and implement programs
- Recruit, train, supervise and schedule all Camp and ASP staff
- Coordinate all afterschool programming throughout the school year
- Oversee weekend and vacation programs
- Manage budget for department including OCFS contract
- Maintain effective relationships with area schools and principals
- Develop marketing materials for programs
- Market programs to families and community
- Adhere to NYS and NYC Department of Health regulations and monitor compliance regularly
- Maintain supplies, equipment and food ordering for programs
- Perform other tasks as needed by the agency
REQUIREMENTS
- MSW MA in related field preferred, Bachelors required
- 2-3 years management in the field of camping and/or children's programming preferred
- Management, problem solving and organizational skills
- Must be a team player
