Executive Director for OCCCO

Orange County Congregation Community Organizations (OCCCO) is seeking a highly talented and motivated Executive Director with a passion for social justice and an appetite for deep and lasting transformation of the Orange County Community. OCCCO's mission is to empower people to take responsibility for communities, to shape public policy, and to build a legacy of leadership throughout Orange County. Our vision is to organize communities where families thrive and people are empowered by their faith and knowledge, dedicated to seeking justice, and actively engaged in the civic process.
In its 29 year history, OCCCO has provided training to hundreds of grassroots leaders who have in turn shaped public policy in areas such as affordable housing, education reform, access to affordable, quality health care, neighborhood safety and government reform.
The Executive Director is an energetic, self-motivated position that requires the capacity to work on the ground level of the organization as well as the capacity to develop staff, board, and leaders. The position requires the ability to develop long-term relationships with a diverse volunteer population, clergy, elected officials and key stakeholders. Lastly, this management role assumes the responsibility to support leaders and staff in order to maintain the organization's winning track record by overseeing organizing campaigns around immigration, government reform, homelessness, education, and voter development.
The Executive Director position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the organization county-wide, and is supervised by the OCCCO Board of Directors. The Executive Director will be held accountable for overseeing the following critical responsibilities:
COMPENSATION. Competitive salary range of $65-80k depending on experience plus relocation costs are negotiable, augmented with a benefits package and paid vacation, sick, and holiday leave. The position includes opportunities for training and coaching within the PICO network.
