Summary:

The EarnBenefits Operations Associate will work closely with Seedco staff to implementing strategic priorities and support smooth daily operation of the EarnBenefits (EB) technology. EarnBenefits streamlines benefit eligibility screenings, application submission, and data reporting. Seedco provides its CBO partners with technical assistance, extensive training, a help desk, and screening tools and resources to operate this software.

Primary job functions:

  • Serve as the Help Desk liaison between Seedco staff, partners and technology vendors and maintain a ticketing system to track issues and their resolution.
  • Work with the EB manager to develop training materials and presentations for EB users nationally. Provide training and technical assistance via in-person trainings, webinars, and one on one contact with EBO users.
  • Maintain, update and develop operational material as needed for training and daily use of the EarnBenefits technology.
  • Work with the Vice President and External Affairs department to develop outreach and marketing materials, including the coordination of the development and design of on-line and off-line marketing materials for the Work and Family Supports area.
  • Work with the Vice President and External Affairs department to develop relationships.
  • Provide research assistance for business planning including analysis of new customers and partners in the Work and Family Supports area.
  • Provide other support for efforts to attract new customers including attending meetings and following up on information requests from potential customers.
  • Assist the Vice President with Work and Family Supports contract management and fiscal matters as needed.
  • Other special projects as assigned.

Interacts with:

Program Staff, Program Partners, local government agencies, New York City Senior Management team, Fiscal, Legal, Human Resources, and Information Technology Departments, as well as data vendors as necessary.

Qualifications – education and related work experience:

  • 5 year's experience in nonprofit or business management
  • Experience with software or technology and business related ventures
  • Research and marketing experience
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, community groups and/or with government contracts strongly preferred
  • Commitment to innovative community and economic development, non-profit capacity building, and entrepreneurship

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Must possess ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure, individually and in a team setting
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines for a diverse workload
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills

Other special considerations:

This job is performed under general office conditions, and is not subject to any strenuous physical demands or dangerous conditions.
