General Summary: Community Events (CE) and Kids Program Manager is responsible for the recruiting, mentoring, and fundraising aspects of all community events. Community Events are essential to the overall growth of the NF Endurance Team. These events are feeders and community builders for the premier events. This position requires occasional travel to the key areas to provide staff support and volunteer development.

Manager does not need to live in the tristate area. If the manger lives outside the NY/NJ/CT area they can work remotely.

Principal duties & responsibilities:

● Work with Event Chairs for Community Events which includes forming volunteer committees in each key area with a goal of raising a minimum of $25,000 and a minimum of 20 participants. Utilize prospects lists and connections with past participants and volunteers to recruit Event Chairs in new key areas.

● Establish fundraising goals and work with a volunteer committee that helps maintain all aspects of the NF Endurance Team. The volunteer committee will meet monthly and be divided into subcommittees: recruitment, marketing, race weekend, fundraising and social. Monitor committee progress, provide resources and materials, and ensure all CE's follow national NF Endurance event standards.

● Maintain accurate and detailed roster of participating team members. Provide weekly update to the office regarding all aspects of NF Endurance This must include new registrations, fundraising updates, fundraising projections, NF Endurance stories, and logistics updates throughout the year.

● Develop outreach and organization of a national youth endurance program. Promote youth participation within existing CE's and work with volunteers to launch stand-alone kids-only events. Provide volunteer organizers with supplies, monitor fundraising efforts, and work with Logistics Manager to fulfill youth fundraising incentive prizes.

● Participate in Weekly Manager Calls providing feedback and updates on work and participants.

Knowledge, skills & abilities required:

Bachelor's degree. Minimum of five years of special events or nonprofit fundraising experience or related experience. Prior customer service experience desired. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, and Excel. Experience with Raiser's Edge database software and Joomla CMS a plus. Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively coordinate multiple projects under tight deadlines. Candidate must be flexible, able to work independently and focus on projects, and be a team player.

Reporting relationships: Reports to the NF Endurance Program Director.
