ABOUT THE POSITION

The Program Materials Production Associate position is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized individual who desires to work for an organization now considered a national leader in developing high quality curriculum and professional development aligned to the Common Core Standards and the Common Core Shifts. Under the supervision of the Chief Program Officer, the Program Materials Production Associate will ensure that EL prepares the highest quality professional development materials to be shared at national institute trainings, institutes and other formats. Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Prepare all print materials for professional development experiences provided to EL clients
• Ensure that client-facing materials are updated, ready to be processed, and all materials are selected and shipped at appropriate times
• Work with designers and facilitators of professional development and regional institutes to plan for, prepare, and deliver materials
• Manage inventory of fixed and consumable supplies for all professional development experiences
• Assist in planning and preparing materials for the annual National Conference, including print materials for staff and facilitators, evaluations, items from EL schools
• Assist in planning the National Conference Master Class Course offerings, including managing the facilitator application process and preparing the catalog and schedule

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• A two- or four-year college degree
• Excellent computer skills, including competency in MS Word, Excel and management software such as FileMaker (or ability to learn)
• Excellent spelling and proof-reading skills
• High level of organization skills and the ability to manage a calendar several months in advance
• A proven ability to manage multiple complex tasks and timelines independently and proactively with stellar results
• An exceptional ability to ship materials on-time and accurately
• Excellent communication skills
• Extraordinary advance planning and "meeting deadlines" skills
• Extraordinary verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• A high degree of integrity, flexibility, and good humor
• Availability and willingness to ebb and flow with high intensity work flow
• An interest in and passion for education reform
