WOMEN’S HOUSING PROGRAM AIDE

Position

Inspirica's various housing programs seek to take steps towards breaking the cycle of homelessness. Our staff collaborate to help move our clients towards obtaining an income (most often through employment), and then towards obtaining housing. Throughout the process, Inspirica staff collaborates closely with our agency partners, including but not limited to: mental health, substance abuse, and medical treatment facilities.

Our goal is to successfully transition participants to permanent housing in the community and to help them sustain this housing permanently. We accomplish this by addressing not just the physical housing part of homelessness, but all of the reasons a participant is homeless. This includes providing education and employment services internally and collaborating with a vast array of external partners to provide medical/dental care, mental health care, substance abuse treatment etc.

Duties

The Residential Program Aide will report directly to the Program Manager – Women's Housing. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Working 12AM-8AM Monday through Friday in Women's Housing to provide on-site coverage and support to residents
  • Meeting individually with participants as needed to provide support in the areas of ADL's, social skills, money management, employment, job retention etc. (in conjunction with Inspirica programs).
  • Other functions including monitoring client medication, preparing progress notes, service plans, incident reports, log books, etc.
  • Adherence to Inspirica and contract policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that the building and surrounding facilities are in compliance with health, safety and fire codes.
  • Contacting Program Manager in the event of any emergency to ascertain best course of action.
  • Consulting with other Inspirica staff to ascertain best means of supporting participants.
  • Liaising with Inspirica external partners, including referring participants to services.
