Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses tight deadlines, a multitude of accounting activities and the need for strong interpersonal communications skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to work independently.

Manage/perform the day-to-day accounting in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including, but not limited to: properly record all cash receipts and disbursements in the appropriate accounting period and timely reconciliation of the bank statements. Oversight of donation receipts and disbursements.

Maintain the chart of accounts. Prepare, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports. Assist the external auditor in performance of their annual audit. Other customary and normal accounting duties and responsibilities.

MS Dynamics SL, MS Excel. Highly detail-oriented, friendly, and able to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence and without losing sight of the "big picture." Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. Thrives on contact with and ability to build strong relationships. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
