Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers, is a 119-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services--social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness--which significantly improve the lives of 20,000 people in need each year, ages 3 to 103, on the East Side of Manhattan. Our constituents include older adults, homeless and formerly homeless adults, children and families, recent immigrants, disabled persons, adult learners and thousands more. Our programs are staffed by social workers, educators, public interest lawyers, case managers, advocates and many, many others. We pride ourselves on our commitment to achieving an ongoing, organizational culture of excellence--programmatically, operationally and fiscally--and to being the best nonprofit in New York. Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a preeminent provider of older adult services. Our ultimate goal for our older adult clients is to help them improve their quality of life, retain their independence and strengthen themselves and their community. We provide a broad range of integrated services for more than 10,000 older adult residents of the community each year, the majority of whom live on low-level fixed incomes. These programs include an intensive case management program that serves more than 1,400 frail and often homebound elderly living on Manhattan's East Side and East Harlem; two active, engaging senior centers; a social adult day program for people living with dementia; transportation services for seniors; and more.
We are seeking a Case Management Supervisor (Supervisor) to join us and help us continue our organizational vision in overseeing our preeminent case management program. The Supervisor will manage supervisors as well as case managers within Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, while also overseeing the work of our two consortium partners who also provide case management services. The Supervisor must have: substantial management experience; knowledge of government benefits available to older adults; expertise in accessing appropriate resources in the community; an understanding of the health care system and how it affects older adults; and experience working closely with government agencies as well as private funders.
The Supervisor will report to the Chief Program Officer and will oversee the delivery of the highest quality case management services for seniors. S/he must be effective at managing caseloads so that we are providing as many clients as possible with the best care available. The Supervisor will also be required to produce timely, accurate and detailed data relating to the case management work while also working with various data systems as required for internal and external reporting purposes. The successful candidate will work closely with our Legal Advocacy & Organizing Department in addressing client needs, while also collaborating with our Volunteer Services as well as outside organizations when appropriate to enhance programming and outcomes.
We are interested in talking with candidates with significant supervisory experience as well as expertise in addressing the varied and complex needs of older adults. The Supervisor must be detail oriented, have significant initiative and also have excellent writing, communication, computer and organizational abilities. The successful candidate must have a relevant advanced degree (e.g., LMSW/LCSW, JD, MPH, MPA). A competitive compensation package will be provided.
Please send a cover letter (which outlines your supervisory experience) and resume by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
