About Us
The Vieques Humane Society works to alleviate the suffering of many neglected & homeless animals on the small Puerto Rican island of Vieques. Being the only animal shelter on the island, we are often the only lifeline for hundreds of neglected animals in Vieques each year. The Vieques Humane Society works everyday to educate the public on the importance of spaying & neutering and proper animal care. This enormous effort is tackled by a small group of devoted staff members and volunteers that want to protect these unique dogs & cats.VHS is supported by donors and volunteers, we welcome any & all help from those wanting to help the special dogs & cats of Vieques. No offer of help is ever too small.
