Adhikaar, meaning rights, is a New York-based non-profit organization working with Nepali-speaking communities to promote human rights and social justice for all.Adhikaar is the only nonprofit organization focusing on the Nepali-speaking immigrant community in New York, combining direct services with community education, grassroots advocacy, and organizing. We have successfully created a platform to have Nepali voices heard in New York City and beyond by working in partnership with Nepali, South Asian, and other organizations. Adhikaar's programs are guided by community needs and demands, and prioritize leadership of marginalized groups within the Nepali-speaking community. Our current program include: workers' rights, access to healthcare, and immigrant rights.
