About us

Founded in 1973 by Rachel Robinson, the Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) is a public, not-for-profit national organization, which awards four-year college scholarships to academically gifted minority students, with financial need, to attend the college of their choice. JRF's unique comprehensive support system includes leadership development, mentoring programs and career counseling.

Since 1973, JRF has provided educational and leadership opportunities to economically disadvantaged, academically gifted, young men and women of color with the desire and commitment to pursue a college education. Over the last 34 years, the Foundation has enabled 1,200 talented minority students to follow their own dreams.
