The Bay Area Immigrant Rights Coalition will serve as an information clearinghouse for nonprofit organizations serving immigrants and refugees. It will strive to be as culturally inclusive as possible, seeking representation from all ethnic groups throughout the Bay Area. Its principal function will be to serve as a convener of organizations and to disseminate policy information and analyses to participating groups. Through the collective views of involved organizations, the coalition also hopes to serve as a progressive voice in policy debates in Sacramento and Washington, D.C.
