About Us

Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT) has supported families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder with programs and services since its conception in 1996 by five pioneering families.  Today, over 3,000 members – clients, families, therapists, other health-related professionals, business partners, donors, and friends – comprise our large caring community.  FEAT hosts an early intervention program called the Rising Star Academy with a staff of 13. FEAT’s seven other staffers oversee our other programs such as our socialization program for ASD teens in several locations in the Pudget Sound area.  FEAT provides support for families with Family Resource Guide and on call consultation services of our Family Services Coordinator.  FEAT also oversees Ben’s Fund, started by Seahawks GM, John Schneider and his wife, Traci, that provides scholarships to families to help cover costs associated with educating and caring for children on the autism spectrum.
