StreetWise Partners (DC)

About Us

StreetWise Partners is a non-profit that was founded in New York City in 1997 when young professionals recognized that many low-income individuals were often hindered by their lack of role models and professional networks within their communities.

StreetWise Partners provides a unique two-on-one career mentoring program to low-income, unemployed individuals through an intensive 13 week development program. During this time, volunteer mentors help mentees build confidence, create strategies, and gain soft and technical skills to secure a job and remain employed.

In Washington DC, StreetWise Partners has worked with hundreds of volunteers from over 60 corporations in and around the metro area. Many of our volunteers come from leading corporations including Booz Allen Hamilton, CEB, Deloitte, Gallup, USAID, The Washington Post & The World Bank.
