  • About Us

    Military Partners and Families Coalition (MPFC) is a private non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, D.C. It was founded in 2011 by a group of partners of active duty U.S. Armed Forces servicemembers stationed in the U.S. and overseas . MPFC provides support, resources, education and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender military partners and their families.

    Our Actions

    We seek to support and empower LGBT partners and families of the United states Armed Forces servicemembers. We believe that a well-cared for military family leads to a more effective servicemember.

    • Social Support - Provide both human connections and virtual networking opportunities for LGBT military partners and families in partnership with local, regional, and national coalitions.
    • Family Readiness and Support - Create a support system for the families of deployed/returning LGBT servicemembers and surviving partners of LGBT servicemembers.
    • Information Resource - Serve as a source for information and education about issues and policies relevant to LGBT military partners and families.
    • Referrals - Assist with legal and other referrals for LGBT military partners and their families.
