he Office of Civic Engagement connects Rutgers–Camden to communities beyond the campus. Working with campus and community partners, we support engaged civic learning; volunteerism and service; community-based research; and integrated efforts to meet the challenges facing our host city, county, and region. Through the Office of Civic Engagement, we put the vast resources of Rutgers, a world-renowned research university, to work on behalf of New Jersey.
We are a starting point for Rutgers–Camden students seeking information about opportunities for service and action, for faculty members hoping to integrate civic engagement into their teaching and research, and for all members of the Rutgers–Camden community who want to forge connections with the goals, needs, and opportunities of our partners.
The Office of Civic Engagement is also the first point of contact for organizations, government agencies, schools, and others who believe working in partnership with Rutgers–Camden would help them reach their goals. Contact us for more information.
