Atlantic Volunteers

Atlantic Volunteers is a registered non-profit organisation based in Cape Town, South Africa, that strives to support local organisations through the work of volunteers who come from the global community. Working in community-based and non-profit organisations in South Africa provides volunteers with an opportunity of a lifetime to experience a different country, a unique culture, and another way of life.

Volunteer programmes are completely customised to the volunteer, meaning you may start at any point in the year provided registration is completed well in advance of the programme start date. After completion of a one-day seminar in preparation for living and working in South Africa, volunteers are accompanied to their organisation and introduced to the staff and supervisor. We continually support our volunteers through monthly ‘get-togethers’, visit and good communication.
