Excited to welcome all the out-of-town staff to our office this week for a staff retreat!

We're so glad you're here!

Idealist was launched in 1995 on a shoestring budget but with an ambitious goal: to be the starting point for anyone, anywhere who wants to make the world a better place.

Today Idealist is the most popular online resource for the nonprofit sector, with information provided by 70,000 organizations around the world, 100,000 unique site visitors every day, and a staff of 25 in New York, NY and Portland, OR.

Offline, we run the Idealist Grad Fairs (idealist.org/gradfairs) and we recently launched a new pilot project in New York City (idealistnyc.org) to help more people take action on the issues that concern them, both online and in person.

Note: Our legal name is Action Without Borders, but we are known most commonly as Idealist.
