The Pierre-Paul Christian Initiative (PCI) is a foundation created in August 2009 with the mission to contribute to improve children's and young adults' lives in Haiti by offering them eduactional opportunities and psychosocial support. Established in Jacmel, in the south-east of Haiti, our foundation aims to :
The PCI means to contribute to form a new society in Haiti where children's rights will be respected fully, where every single young adult can take care of themselves and orientate themselves to the financial freedom. From our start, in spite of our economic weaknesses, we have sent more than 150 children to school, train more than 300 young adults on a professional matter, fed more than 200 children and parents victims of the January 2010 earthquake that killed more than 300 000 people, get more than 3000 people aware of family planning and AIDS, etc. In this way, we are multiplying contacts with people all over the country so we can make this dream come true progressively in every commune of Haiti.
Now the PCI is a foundation weak econmically mainly after the January 2010 disaster, but strong with its determination to go on. We still receive volunteers / tourists who want to reinforce our work in Haiti, and own an internet café called Cool Net.
