About Us

Amir's mission is to inspire and motivate youth to serve. Amir partners with summer camps to build social-action community gardens, engaging youth in programming around issues of food justice and environmental stewardship. Now at the start of our fifth year, Amir has expanded to work with 23 partner camps, trained over 150 young adults to be garden educators and faciliated the donation of over 5,200 pounds of fresh produce to local food pantries.

Amir recruits and trains college students to be garden-educators at summer camps across North America. Using our social justice curriculum, Amir Farmers teach youth about issues of hunger, poverty, and food access through the process of building a community garden. The Amir Farm model is increasing the educational capacity of its partner camps, and spreading impactful garden education across North America.
