About us

The USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism founded The California Endowment Health Journalism Fellowships program in 2005 to provide mid-career journalists with tools and training to report great stories on health. The program's all-expenses-paid seminars offer journalists a chance to step away from the newsroom to hone health reporting skills. In intimate workshops, field trips and discussions, fellows learn from the country's most respected health and medical experts, from top journalists in the field and from each other. Other initiatives include a quarterly newspaper produced by high school students for the Boyle Heights Community and ReportingonHealth, an online community for people passionate about fostering great health and medical coverage of our communities.
