Younger Women's Task Force - Atlanta Metro Chapter

About Us

YWTF is a national grassroots movement engaging younger women in their 20s and 30s to take action on issues that matter most to them. YWTF is reaching women who would not traditionally join a women’s group or consider themselves an “activist.” Its members are mortgage brokers, real estate agents, and childcare workers, hailing from populations that have not historically been organized by the women’s movement. In addition, while younger women in the workforce are relentlessly courted by the fashion, movie and other consumer industries, somehow they have fallen through the cracks of progressive organizing. While a number of women’s groups target college women, and other organizations tend to have a membership of adult women in their 50s and 60s, women in their 20s and 30s do not have a mechanism through which to be active on their concerns as younger women. YWTF fills this vacuum.
