MISSION STATEMENT:The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

ADDENDUM:In over 90 countries worldwide, The Salvation Army preaches the gospel, spreads the Christian truths, provides basic human necessities, such as food, clothing, and shelter to all without any restrictions or limitations whatsoever, and works mto promote spiritual. moral, and physical well-being of all mankind.
In the U.S.A., The Salvation Army is presents in many major cities in which it operates homeless shelters, group homes for retarded people, and drop-in centers for runaways and addicts, as well as many social programs, including those to combat domestic violence and child abuse among others.
