About Us

Global Environmental Brigades is a secular, socially conscious network of volunteers that travel to developing countries to mitigate ecological degradation and develop sustainable environmental practices. GEB is currently working in Central America, in the world’s most biodiverse regions, also home to some of the world’s most economically impoverished communities. Global Environmental Brigades empowers college students with an educational and hands-on experience abroad to develop strategic environmental solutions that integrate public health, international law, business and architecture disciplines. GEB is a program of Global Brigades, the world’s largest student-led international relief organization. As a secular, 501c3 nonprofit organization more than 1,500 volunteers from 50 university clubs travel annually to provide health care, microenterprise development, and clean water systems to more than 50,000 beneficiaries in Central America, Ghana, India and Vietnam.
