UN Special Envoy for the Financing of the Health MDGs & Malaria | MDG Health Alliance

The Office of the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Financing the Health MDGs and for Malaria (UNSEO), and its affiliate, the MDG Health Alliance, is seeking interns to support special projects and strategic initiatives in the run up to the December 31, 2015 MDG deadline. Interns will play a key role in supporting the UNSEO’s work with UN Agencies, country governments, global health initiatives and other leading stakeholders to accelerate scale-up of MDGs 4, 5 and 6.

The Special Envoy’s focus is on identifying barriers to scale-up, expanding the available resources and tracking progress. The Special Envoy office and MDG Health Alliance will use their convening function, high-level contacts, and targeted discretionary grant-making to support countries striving to achieve the goals and empower partners in the international development community to help ensure that the targets are achieved by the deadline. The UNSEO is a private office, formed to support the efforts of the Special Envoy.
