About us

The Museum of Jewish Heritage-A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is New York's primary institution of public education about modern Jewish history and the Holocaust. The Museum tells the moving story of 20th century Jewish life from the perspective of those who lived it. Weaving together personal experiences and world events, it paints an evocative portrait of a people, a catastrophe, and an indomitable spirit. Created as a living memorial to the victims of the Holocaust, the Museum honors those who died by celebrating their lives and legacy. It conveys a message of memory and hope that is of universal significance.
