Mount Carmel House

  • About Us

Mount Carmel House provides homeless women with hope for the future. We believe that in a loving and caring atmosphere of mutual respect, they may regain their self-esteem and achieve personal and economic independence. Mount Carmel House is dedicated to assisting women to create pathways leading to permanent housing, employment, and personal stability.

Mount Carmel House is a transitional shelter for women which respects the dignity of each woman in its program. We have a keen awareness of the difficulties often faced by persons in transitional housing. Mount Carmel House serves its residents through three major efforts:

    individualized case management services

    substance abuse counseling services

an educational program in career training and life skills

Mount Carmel House is committed to being a refuge where each resident may effect positive personal change in an atmosphere of support and peace.
